Job Description:* Summary Epsilon is looking for a talented leader with a proven hands-on technical background and outstanding communication skills. The Technical Manager will lead one of the cross-functional delivery teams based out of the Irving office. Each delivery team is comprised of Unix and Windows systems administrators. The delivery teams are responsible for building new platforms, expanding and/ or rebuilding existing platforms and taking tier 3 escalations from the operations groups. The STS delivery teams work closely with other support groups, networking, storage, developers, DBA' s and project managers to define and implement systems, networks, security and client access. Responsibilities: Provides technical direction for the development, design, and systems integration of client engagement from definition phase through implementation. Ensure that all the team members receive appropriate training, career coaching, are encouraged to continually look for better ways to do their jobs and to provide a high level of service and systems administration. Maintain current knowledge of industry best practices and trends, as well as new developments for the technologies deployed. Participate in the strategic planning and policy development.Keep project managers well informed of status of development effort and serve as liaison between development staff, project managers and internal/ external client teams. Communicates and enforces Epsilon implementation standards Manages technical resources within budget and project schedule. Consistently delivers high-quality services to our internal and external clients. Other duties as assigned Qualifications Bachelor' s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related field, or equivalent work experience 3-5 years managing technical teams, project implementation and client relationships. 7-10 year technical knowledge installing operating system and third party software installation, upgrades and maintenance. 7-10 years technical knowledge installing and configuring hardware. 3-5 years troubleshooting software problems with operating systems or third party products 5-7 years technical knowledge with security and system implementation industry standards for Windows, Unix, Network, Storage and Security. 7-10 years technical knowledge of client/ server and internet systems architectures.
