Position Description: BMC Software Value Engineers are consultative, can deliver clear messaging to our customers and service providers alike around our strategy, vision, roadmap and most importantly, how our solutions can to bring value to the customer. Primary Roles and Responsibilities: Works closely with the Account management teams to strategize the roadmap based on industry trends to drive pipeline and grow revenue Coaches and advises on critical business issues faced by customers in a particular vertical and helps build service offering or drive initiatives that we can take to the market Can draw insights about customers/ industry from public sources and design offerings that map to BMC solutions Works closely with the Service provider to make BMC the de-facto standard across their market offerings around IT infrastructure management Establishes credibility quickly with executive customer stakeholders to help BMC be the preferred vendor in Service providers Reference Architectures Liaises regularly with the service provider vertical leads to understand industry trends and proposes best fit BMC solutions. Has prior experience/ understanding of large software deals, either within or outside BMC Has experience with BMC and/ or other software deployments and can articulate critical success factors Builds financial models that map solutions to business value Invests time in documenting best practices, capturing and disseminating knowledge and other initiatives that enhance the organization Drives marketing initiatives by writing industry specific whitepapers and providing critical inputs to create customer success stories
